Cataractous view. Roll the mouse over the picture to clear the cataract.
A cataract is the clouding of the natural lens inside the eye. This natural lens is made of a strong, transparent outer covering, or capsule, with a clear gel filling. When the gel starts to become cloudy, the incoming light rays are distorted or blocked before reaching the retina at the back of the eye and, as the cataract develops, it becomes harder for the person to see.
Here, the vision is clear enough to be able to get around and perform everyday tasks, but is not good enough to read bus numbers or street signs.
